Undead Labs crée un nouveau studio et une école de développement
L’avenir pour les développeurs n’est pas en décomposition
Undead Labs, le studio derrière la franchise State of Decay fait partie des Xbox Game Studios depuis 2018. Le studio de Seattle, dans l’État de Washington, développe actuellement le troisième épisode du jeu de survie.
C’est via un communiqué de Jeff Strain, fondateur et Responsable d’Undead Labs, que nous apprenons la création d’un studio supplémentaire et d’une école de développement à la Nouvelle-Orléans, en Louisiane.
Avec le soutien de Microsoft, l’objectif de l’école sera de former des personnes qui n’auront pas la chance de faire un parcours classique et de les intégrer à la nouvelle équipe du studio.
Il faudra du temps pour apercevoir les premiers fruits de ces deux nouvelles pousses. La Nouvelle-Orléans pourrait devenir à terme une ville importante dans l’écosystème des Xbox Game Studios. En effet, InXile Entertainment avait annoncé également, il y a quelques semaines, la création d’un nouveau studio dans la plus grande ville de la Louisiane.
Si nous savons que Microsoft possède aujourd’hui 15 grands studios de développement, nous constatons la création de nombreux studios secondaires pour épauler les maisons-mères. Toutes ces équipes auront pour objectif de répondre à l’ambition de Microsoft de sortir un jeu d’importance par trimestre lors de la prochaine génération de consoles pour alimenter le Xbox Game Pass.
