L’annonce date du 8 août (donc hier) pour un poste concernant le studio de Londres qui bosse sur Skype récemment racheté par la firme de Redmond. Cette offre d’emploi mentionne très clairement que vous rejoignez l’équipe responsable de l’intégration de Skype dans vos salon à travers de différents supports notamment le grand écran (la Xbox 360) et la nouvelle génération de Xbox (“The team you’ll join is responsible for Skype in the living room (broadly the home), across various devices but with a focus on the large screen and the next generation of Xbox”).
Et enfin, le descriptif indique que le poste sera en étroite collaboration avec la Team Xbox pour bosser sur la génération actuelle et la nouvelle. “Working with the Xbox team directly in Redmond, USA. (both current Xbox and next gen)”
Il va être de plus en plus difficile pour Microsoft de garder l’annonce de la Xbox One / Xbox 720 avec le nombre conséquent de fuites et d’offres d’emploi qui évoquent la nouvelle génération de consoles. Mais ils sont têtus comme on a pu le constater cette semaine...

The team you’ll join is responsible for Skype in the living room (broadly the home), across various devices but with a focus on the large screen and the next generation of Xbox. Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Head of Design for Xbox & Consumer Electronics, you will be entrusted to lovingly craft final product designs. You’re always hands-on and working with other designers, engineers and product managers. Your primary focus will be :
- Solving complex problems and turning them into clear design solutions
- Developing interactive prototypes from wireframes and pixel perfect design
- Working with the Xbox team directly in Redmond, USA. (both current Xbox and next gen)
- Help design an integrated Skype platform that’s pervasive within the Xbox console and ecosystem
- Work with the research team for testing prototypes
- Collaborate with managers, engineers and your fellow designers
Candidate Profile
Pre-requisite Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Expertise/Experience (must have)
- You can prove you know what you’re doing, by showing exceptional design work and innovative thinking
- You’re a whiz on a mac/pc with Flash, HTML, CSS
- Have prototyped experiences across devices, Desktop, Mobile, Tablet and TV/Consoles
- Creating and interpreting concepts / wireframes and translating them into compelling interactive prototypes
- You can speak English and effectively communicate your thoughts to others
- You use Skype already and want to make it better
- Don’t mind traveling around the globe when necessary
